1. These Terms
1.1 What these terms cover. These are the terms and conditions on which we supply our Reid the Music classes (“Classes”) and general services (“Services”) to you as a consumer.
1.2 Who we are. We are Alqithara Pty Ltd T/A Reid the Music. Our Australian Company Number is 662 232 715.

1.4 Definitions. The following definitions and interpretations shall apply throughout these terms:
1.4.1 “Portal” shall refer to the chosen software that will be used to assist in providing our Services to you.
1.4.2 “we”, “us”, “our” or “Reid the Music” means Alqithara Pty Ltd
1.4.3 “Client” means the individual receiving the services of Reid the Music. If the Individual is under the age of 18 then the responsibilities are agreed upon by their parent(s)/legal guardian(s).
1.4.4 “Classes” shall be deemed to be included within the “Services”; and
1.4.5 When we use the words "writing" or "written" in these terms, this includes emails.
1.4 .6 You agree and accept Reid the Music privacy policy. You can locate our privacy policy here.
2. Our Services & Engagement
2.1 Services may vary slightly from their description on the website. The descriptions of the Services on our website are for indicative purposes only.
2.2 The Client must not attend class in the following circumstances:
2.2.1 they have had a fever or a cough within the 7 days prior to the Class;
2.2.2 they have had an upset stomach or diarrhoea in the 48 hours prior to the Class;
2.2.3 they have heavy nasal discharge;
2.2.4 they have discharging eyes; or
2.2.5 they have symptoms of a possible communicable disease, including, but not limited to, Covid-19, measles, chicken pox, German measles, whooping cough, impetigo, scarlet fever, hand foot and mouth disease or norovirus.
2.3 Reid the Music has the right to change its pricing at any time, but such changes will not apply to fees for services that have been prepaid. Changes to pricing will be communicated to you at least 15 days in advance.
2.4 The Client commits to ongoing Terms of Lessons being provided by Reid the Music. Reid the Music will automatically re-invoice for each subsequent Term, without the requirement of the Client advising Reid the Music that the Lessons should continue into the forthcoming Term, unless appropriate notice is given (see point 3, “cancellations and terminating enrolment at Reid the Music”).
2.5 The Client understands that the services of Reid the Music are sold and Billed as Full-Terms which are billed based on the number of weeks in each term. Unless arranged differently, each week comprises of at least one lesson, at the same time and on the same day.
2.6 The initial invoice shall be dated from the commencement date of the first lesson through to the final week of term.
2.7 Subsequent billing will transpire within three weeks (21 days) of the start of the new term.
2.8. Invoices are due and payable within three weeks (21 days) of the invoice issue date.
2.9 Clients that are unable to pay on time should contact Reid the Music Accounts Team to make alternate arrangements.
2.10 Reid the Music reserves the right to cease service if The Client does not honour the due date of payments specified in our Terms and Conditions.
3. Cancellations and Terminating Enrolment at ‘Reid the Music’:
3.1 Except for the initial invoice, all subsequent lessons are purchased and paid for in blocks of full terms and as such, lessons not attended by the Client shall not reduce the value of the invoice for the term.
3.2 The Client may cancel this agreement simply by notifying Reid the Music in writing via email at least 14 days prior to the conclusion of the existing term.
3.3 Under no circumstances are refunds available.
3.4 In the event of you terminating, all classes scheduled for the term will be payable in full. The Client can continue to participate in scheduled lessons up to the end of the term.
3.5 Reid the Music reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the services with or without notice. In case of discontinuation, a 7 day notice will be provided, and any pre-paid fees for the affected services will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
4. Make Up Lessons & Make Up Credits
4.1 Lessons are never rescheduled without appropriate notice, however, should the Client notify the Reid the Music admin team by email or text, no later than 24 hours prior to the day of their lesson, that they are unable to attend the lesson, then a Make-up Credit will be provided by Reid the Music.
4.2. If sufficient notice is not provided (less than 24 hours), The Client understands this lesson will be forfeited.
4.3 Make-up credits expire on the 31st of January the following year to when they were issued.
4.4 Make-up Credits can be used to book make-up Lessons throughout the term or over the school holidays, but only up until the 31st of January the following year to when the make-up credit was issued.
4.5 Make-up Credits are not issued against cancelled make-up Lessons and nor may cancelled or unattended Make-up Lessons be rescheduled for any reason.
4.6 Reid the Music will endeavour to do its best to secure the regular teacher for make-up Lessons but this cannot be guaranteed. Make-up lessons may be booked in with any of the Reid the Music teacher staff.
4.7 The Client agrees to a minimum of 70% attendance rate for the normal lessons of a term. Therefore, no more than three Make- up Credits can be provided per term. Missed lessons to an extent of more than three per term are forfeited completely

4.8. Make-up Credits are not available for Group Lessons (more than two students). As such, if a student is unable to attend a group session, the session is forfeited entirely, no matter the notice provided. If a group session is cancelled at the fault of Reid the Music, the missed session will be credited from your next invoice or refunded on a case by case basis.
4.9 Should a lesson not transpire as scheduled, not to the fault of The Customer, such as teacher absences or a disruption beyond the direct control of Reid the Music etc, Reid the Music will undertake its best effort to rectify the situation such as to provide a replacement teacher, otherwise a make-up credit shall be issued. Reid the Music will always work with their clients to find the best solution that suits everyone.
4.10 Make up credits do not have a monetary value and as such are not able to be subtracted from the value of any next invoice.
5. Photography, Video & Audio Release/Social Media
5.1 By using Reid the Music services the Client accepts and agrees that any photographs, digital images, audio or video recordings (analogue or digital) taken during classes, rehearsals or during performances, will remain the property of Reid the Music. Reid the Music is to use the photographs, audio or video recordings at its discretion and there will be no payment for their use.
6. Medical Treatment Release:
6.1 In the event of any injury or illness the Client authorises the teacher(s) and/or other Reid the Music staff, to apply or arrange for First Aid and for examination by a registered Medical Practitioner. Should contact be impracticable or difficult, I authorise the Teachers to arrange whatever medical treatment the registered Medical Practitioner considers necessary and reasonably appropriate at that time. I the parent/guardian will pay for all medical expenses incurred on behalf of my child or self.
7. Liability Waiver:
7.1 By engaging with ‘Reid the Music’, including and not limited to their Contractors, Agents, Representatives, Employees and/or Volunteers, the Client agrees to release’ them from any liability in relation to any injury or illness that may occur, and for loss or damage to property, in connection with the activities undertaken except to the extent that the liability arises as a result of the Negligence of the School or its Agents, Representatives, Employees or Contractors.
8. Limitation of Trial Lessons and Additional Classes
8.1 Reid the Music offers trial lessons to new Clients to allow them to experience our services before committing to regular classes. These trial lessons are limited to one per Client for perpetuity.
8.2 Upon completion of the trial lesson, should the Client wish to continue and receive additional classes, standard fees as outlined in our pricing schedule shall apply. Reid the Music reserves the right to charge the student for every additional class beyond the initial trial lesson.
8.3 This limitation on trial lessons is designed to provide an opportunity for new Customers to assess the suitability of our services without incurring undue financial obligations. It is agreed that trial lessons are a one-time offer, and subsequent lessons are subject to the standard pricing terms.
8.4 By engaging in a trial lesson with Reid the Music, the Customer acknowledges and agrees to Reid the Music’s Terms and Conditions. However, is only bound to the ongoing service agreement if they choose to continue with Classes.
9 General
9.1 This Policy may change from time to time and is available on our website.
9.2 These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Reid the Music and supersede any prior agreements, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter herein. By continuing to use Reid the Music Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
